Stop the Bleeding

Okay- this year has not been very 'saver' friendly. Between Blake's doctor bills, new brakes and tires for the van, and higher gas prices we are ready for a cheap month. Apparently that is not going to happen in April. On Tuesday, April 1st, Blake had to go into the urgent care where he was diagnosed with Croup. Luckily, that bill is minimal and the croup is not contagious. Then on Wednesday, April 2nd, Scott's car broke down on the freeway and we had to have it towed to Big O Tires. The bill to just get the car running? $425.00. Almost as much as the car is worth- really not kidding. The kelly blue book value is $550. And, we didn't even fix everything that was recommended. So, since we just placed a band aid on the Hyundai we are now looking for a new to us car. Oh, and did I forget to mention that our video camera is not working anymore? Another expense. Oh well, I am holding out hope that May will begin a long string of inexpensive months. Wait, almost forgot that our SRP bill skyrockets in the summer even though we are still sweating inside.

I'm in the sky is falling mode and can't figure out where the money is going. Always fun dealing with money we don't have. Good luck in finding a new car!
