Kindergarten Program

Today was Megan's kindergarten program. We went fully expecting to listen to the same program and Madison and Ben did while they were in Kindergarten. Luckily, they did a new play this year about farm animals. Megan danced to the songs and had some great facial expressions while singing (reminds me of Madison). Megan also had a little line to say with her friend Mckenzie, "Wow, we have a fish too, but I've always wanted a dog". Megan said her line so nice and loud we could easily hear her in the back row.

After the program we went into Megan's classroom and listened to a poem and another song. Then they did the end of the year awards. Megan received the Optimist Award for always having a sunny attitude. Mrs. Jones gave each of the kids a certificate showing what award they had won, and also a flower. Megan's flower, unfortunately, was losing petals fast which made Megan quite sad. I told Megan that it was good when the petals fell off because she was able to make wishes and she threw them away. Megan enjoyed hearing that (I even found her picking off the flower petals at home and making more wishes). Mrs. Jones had also made a slideshow with pictures of the kids through the year and we watched that before we left. This program means that the school year is almost over. Can't wait for summer vacation!!
