First Solar had an employee activity at the Diamondbacks game on Saturday night. The kids had been looking forward to this for weeks. We got to the game a bit late since we had the piano recital first. We went straight to the picnic pavilion where there was all you could eat hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, chips, and drinks. There was also a 'goodie' bag with glow necklaces, baseball cards, and other activities for the kids. Everyone had a great time eating- couldn't tell you how many hot dogs or popcorn the kids ate. But, they really enjoyed it. Blake looked through the baseball cards and picked out who he was going to be when he grows up. Baseball is his new passion. After we had dinner we went to the team shop and the kids each got to buy a small item (there was $10.00 loaded onto each ticket). Megan and Madison choose a stuffed animal; Ben, Blake, and Scott each got a baseball. After making the purchase we decided we should watch the game for a bit. Ben and Madison each bought a cotton candy; Ben, Megan, and I bought a cold stone ice cream. After watching the game for a few minutes we went back to the picnic pavilion for more food and fun, then left after the 7th inning. Scott told me after the game that Madison gave him a hug and said she loved First Solar. Think all the kids would say that also.
