Heading Home

My Mom and Dad took the kids back to Freeport on Saturday so that Scott and I could have a mini vacation. Scott and I went to a cheese factory near Madison, WI then Kayaking. We had never kayaked before, but I think we did pretty good.
Sunday we went back to Freeport and had lunch at my Grandma's, then visited my Grandpa Ensign's grave marker and released balloons (family tradition), followed by a family dinner and then we went to Krape park for a band concert. We went to those every Sunday in the summer while we lived in Freeport. Our kids were pretty tired after the intermission so we walked over to the park to play one last time. We had a great time running around, swinging on the tire swing, and catching fireflies. Before we knew it, it was dark so we drove to my Grandma's to say goodbye before we left the next morning.

Monday we started our drive home. Wednesday afternoon we made it to our house. It was a long drive, so glad it is done.
