Well, after being busy last week getting ready to lay the tile ourselves- this past week we did a little work getting ready to have someone come and lay the tile. We had a guy, Amen? Ortega, come out and look at the floor. He will be back on Tuesday to lay the tile for us. It should be done Tuesday afternoon since most everything is done and ready. Scott pulled the linoleum off the laundry floor yesterday and we found termite tunnels in our concrete. Yes, concrete. The termites that we had previously were glue-eaters, so my guess is these concrete termites we eating the glue from the linoleum. They are long gone since we have had the termite people come and spray the room three times- just their tunnels remain. We also found a gapping hole in the concrete of the laundry room. It is about the size of silver dollar- homes are built to last these days, lol. Scott also spent some time putting the molding on top of the cabinets. It is not all the way done, since he dropped a 8 foot piece on the floor- but it should be done soon. Lots of progress this coming week on the kitchen since the floors will go in, and I think we have found our paint color. It is the color that is in the middle of the photo.
Scott and I went out last night for our anniversary. Our 10th anniversary is on Wednesday, but since I have school we went out on Saturday. We found a babysitter for the older kids, and took Blake to Marita's house for dinner. We started off at IKEA. I haven't been there for a few years so it was nice to go back and look around. I don't care for their furniture, but it is fun to look at. We then dropped Blake off at Marita's and went to Rio Sabor for dinner. Rio Sabor is a brazilian choucharia. They have a buffet that is salad's and pasta, then they bring around meat to your table. I have never had so much red meat in one sitting. I was not feeling so good after. They had sausages, turkey, chicken, tri-tip, sirloin, fliet minon, pork loin, and others that I can not remember. We had chocolate mouse and passion fruit mousse for desert. You could have rolled me out the door. I am not sure we will be going back soon, though, since the bill was $100. Expensive, but I guess every 10years isn't so bad.
Madison turns 8 next Saturday, can't believe that. She is at her bishop's interview right now. Scott said she could get her ear's pierce for her birthday, we will see if that happens.
