Rain, rain go away

We have had so much rain in December. This past week it rained for 3-4 days. In just two weeks we have doubled our rainfall for the full year. As a result of all the rain and cooler weather- my house has been a chilly 68 degrees at night- Wednesday was horribly foggy. I had to take the kids to school and meet Tiffany to pick up her kids in the morning. I could see about 100 yards in front of me, and that was it. I am not sure how people can drive in the fog on a normal basis. I was watching Tiffany's kids during her doctor's appointment, and then she came over to cut my hair. I was really tired of longer hair after having it for the past 5 years, so I now have short hair again.

Thursday morning I tried to take the kids to school but I had a flat tire. I looked around for the air compressor to refill the tire, but it was no where. I found out later that Scott has been taking it to work with him in case he needed to fill his tires. I have never changed a tire, so Laurali came over to help. It was an easy process, the hardest part was loosening the bolts on the tire. I was literally jumping on them about 20 times before they would even loosen a little bit. After I put the spare tire on I drove to Big O tires to have them patch it. It turns out there wasn't any hole in the tire. Scott had just failed to tighten the cap properly. Had the air compressor been in the garage I could have saved myself 2 hours!

Ben's school play was also on Thursday. My Mom flew in arriving just before the play, so she also came to watch. Ben did a great job singing all the songs and saying his part.

I stayed to watch Madison's gym class on Thursday so she could show me her back handspring that she just mastered. She was perfect!
