Today is the official start of spring break for me. Yesterday, I had clinical at St. Joe's and that was a mess (literally). Today is a day of relaxation, and then tomorrow begins a new week. I look forward to Sunday's since we don't do anything besides go to church. Tomorrow I have Blake's doctor appointment to remove the stitches and Ben's dentist appointment to fill the cavity. Oh yeah: Madison's gym class, grocery shopping, dinner, and school. Spring break is really just an opportunity to study without needing to go to class. I am looking forward to my 11 week summer break= no studying allowed! Every Sunday, along with dinner, I make a dessert. Lately the kids have been wanting brownies- and we are not talking boxed. Not to put boxed items down- because I have used them and find them to be quite convenient- I just prefer made from scratch. Today was the infamous recipe: Neiman Marcus cookies. Not to bore anyone, but I added extra baking powder and soda so they wouldn't flatten out. Perfect. I could eat them all day. So could Blake if you look at him enjoying the cookie in the picture. I even think he can say cookie now.
I was assigned a new visiting teaching companion---again. I am going visiting teaching tomorrow with Robin Powell for I guess the last time and then Laurali and I are companions. Oh man, I was just thinking that if we are companions I guess she no longer visits me. That stinks because for the first time I had someone coming on a semi-regular basis. Oh well, I have to get back to finishing up my dinner: carne asada tacos.
Scott took the kids to a park yesterday while I was at school. Have to love Arizona winters/spring.
