Kyle recently made a bed frame with the help of his father-in-law, and when I saw a picture of it I loved it. I asked Scott to make one for my birthday and after 4-5 Saturday's it was finally put together last night. I found the plan on knock-offwood.com- this site has tons of pottery barn and other knock off plans for free. I wanted it stained a nice dark color so we picked Merlot. Scott is disappointed that the wood grain doesn't show through. I am happy that it doesn't- that is why I like the darker colors. I am very impressed with the bed, and it is very solid- it won't be falling apart anytime soon.
Scott also painted our room this last weekend- a nice pretty blue. All that is left is to add the crown molding. I am very lucky to be married to someone as talented as Scott is.
