The girls and I were talking a few weeks ago and decided that it would be fun to make new quilts for their beds this summer. Since I have never made a quilt before I decided to make a practice one first using my leftover material from other projects. I made it crib sized so that when Macy moves to the toddler bed she would be able to use it. Took about 2 weeks, working about 90 minutes a day. It took awhile to get all my pieces cut out the right size and to try to keep it all square. I am happy with the result- will be making a few changes on future quilts though. It was a good learning experience for me.
Off topic- Macy has started to climb everything: couches, chairs, tables, and the swing set. Its a lot of fun following her around.
Another off topic- still not drinking milk off any kind, including the goats milk bottle in the picture. We have been drinking kefir in the morning and she won't drink that with a cup or straw, has to be fed with a spoon. Loves drinking water out of a sippy and a bottle though.
