Disneyworld

We left for Disneyworld Monday, June 10 2007. We left my parents house at 6am and arrived at the hotel around 2:30pm. We took 3 cars. In my car were Scott G, Jennifer, Madison or Ben, and Grace. Scott G was driving the truck. I had the backseat with the 2 kids. Lets just say it was uncomfortable. But after the 8 hour drive the ordeal was over and we checked into our hotel rooms. We stayed at Disney's All Star Movie resort. A budget friendly (showed in the size of the room) resort. We only stayed in the room long enough to drop off our stuff before heading over to MGM to ride the Tower of Terror and see Fantasmic. Ben and Madison both went on to Tower of Terror. Ben said it was great and Madison will never go back. We had dinner at Hollywood and Vine that night. It had a decent buffet but we were there for the reserved seats to see Fantasmic. After Tower of Terror we headed over to our Fantasmic check in point, but a few of us were thirsty. We were all talking about getting a frozen lemonade when Tiffany and Taylor took off. After searching for them for 10 minutes Tiffany came back with drinks. It reminded us about the last time we went to Disneyworld and Tiffany went off in search of a bathroom. She needs to wear a GPS finder next time. We were just finding our seats in Fantasmic when we were hit with a few sprinkles. The next thing we knew it was pouring rain. Everyone headed for the exit. We all ended up fairly wet and we missed the show- but we had a great time. Tuesday we spent the day at Epcot. We had a great time riding Buzz Lightyear (I think my Mom had a high score), astro orbiter, river of life, the sphere, and a few others. We had a late lunch with Chip and Dale at a rotating restaurant. It was family style dinner. Great potatoes. We finished early and my parents watched all the kids to let Scott and myself, Jen and Scott, Tiffany and Bryce have a night off. We went swimming and ate some snacks in the hotel's restaurant while playing 7-up a card game. Wednesday we started off early at Animal Kingdom going on the Safari. What a great ride. We saw zebra's, lions, rhinos, etc. Some were really close to the car we were in. We had breakfast with Donald Duck at Restaurantosaurus. A great breakfast buffet, then we saw Bug's life, rode mount Everest, and maybe a few others. We then went back to the hotel so Scott G and Bryce could pack to leave. Scott fell asleep on the bus back to the hotel and had to be woken by the bus driver to an empty bus. We all had assumed he had gotten off. Ben and Scott took that time to go to Downtown Disney and see the lego store. Ben came back with a nice looking airplane. That night we decided to try and see Fantasmic again. This time it was great. This was also the night of Megan's accident. I awoke around 3 am to Megan saying she had an accident. Since I was holding Blake Scott took Megan to the bathroom and cleaned her up. While they were in the bathroom I felt my back and it was soaked. Megan had wet all over me. I decided to take an early shower. Thursday was another early morning, this time at Magic Kingdom. We were lucky that the lines were quick and got to ride a lot of the rides including splash mountain, thunder mountain, carousal, Dumbo, etc. To let Grace and Blake cool off we rode the monorail for about 30 minutes during lunch. We also got turkey legs to snack on- Megan ate a lot of ours. We had dinner with Minnie Mouse, Chip and Dale at Liberty Tree Tavern. Another family style eating place that served turkey. And great potatoes and gravy. After dinner we rode the jungle cruise another great ride. We decided to head back to the hotel to go swimming that night. On the way back we almost lost Graces stroller out the back of the truck. Luckily another car alerted us in time to pull over and put it back in. Friday we had breakfast with Pooh and Tiger at the Grand Floridan breakfast buffet. Another great restaurant. Megan finally began to smile for the characters. Then we went back to Epcot and rode Test Track, saw Ellen, rode Soaring. After lunch we decided to head over to Animal Kingdom to go on the rides that we had missed earlier in the week. It was perfect timing since many people were leaving the park to go to the larger parks. We went on Kali springs which is a river rapid ride. I think we must have rode that about 4-5 times. The kids loved that ride. We went on a dino ride, a spinning tea cup roller coaster- which Ben wasn't tall enough for (he was very mad), and Expedition Everest again. Madison rode Expedition Everest this time but didn't like it. I think we went on that ride also 4-5 times. We could have done more but the park closed at 8pm so we went back to the hotel. Saturday morning we packed up and left for the drive back to South Carolina. Our family stopped to visit Todd and Merrilee Kenney. The kids really enjoyed playing with the boys again. A great vacation
