Swimming Lessons Begin
On Monday we started swimming lessons. Every year Madison has a little trouble adjusting to her new teacher. I walked over with her and waited to see who her new teacher was- it was a boy. I stayed with Madison for a few minutes, but she seemed fine. I walked over to where Scott was, and looked back- Madison was having a melt down in the middle of the pool. She was moved to a lower class level since she would not swim across the pool. I know she can though. Ben and Megan did great with their classes. Megan is becoming very brave in the water. She loves walking where her head is barely above the water. She calls Brimhall pool 'the beach'. She loves going to the beach. Tuesday we went to the movie theater and saw SpiderMan 3. I know, a little behind. Madison had to go to the bathroom before the movie started so I took her in. As I was washing my hands I noticed that they didn't have napkins to dry my hands, only the auto dryer. I mentioned to Madison that I prefer to use napkins, and she said she did also. She looked around and said, "look, they sell napkins for $0.25. Who ever heard of selling napkins in the bathroom. I have to tell Ben". I was laughing so hard. Spiderman was okay but a little long.
We have been watching the Craig's dog, Patches, this week while they were at the beach. The kids think she is the best dog, but they never go outside to see her. She is the best dog behind the glass door in their opinion. She was pretty good. I am surprised our neighbors never complained of her barking at night. I am glad we don't have a dog. We went to Tiffany's house on Friday. The kids enjoyed going over there and swimming and playing with the girls. She was talking about getting rid of one her dogs, Sammy, because she creates such a mess.
Scott went golfing today at 3pm. Crazy fool, it was 110 degrees outside. At least he got a golf cart- I think walking would have killed him.
This week we began our after-vacation diets. Scott is learning all about counting calories and watching what we eat. It has been a real eye opener to see the amount of calories that are in some foods.
