Scott decided he wanted to go camping before he returns to work on Monday, so he took Megan and Ben on a campout this past Wednesday. I would have gone since he found a place with a bathroom, but Blake is still getting breathing treatments twice a day so we couldn't go.
Madison and I had fun at home watching Sponge Bob Movie, Freakie Friday, and Princess Diaries while eating Kid Cuisine, Drumsticks, Candy, Popcorn, and Hot Chocolate. Madison did say that her stomach was starting to hurt. Madison was also excited because we painted her finger/toenails and made bookmarks and stickers. I also spent the day (and half the night) reading Harry Potter. It was a good book but I wanted to finish reading it quickly. I love to read books, but find that they can consume me. So, I stayed up until 2 am to finish reading the book. I could have done without the fastforward 19 year ending- but it was still good.
Scott and the kids arrived home around 1pm. Ben said he had a good time, but didn't catch any fish. Megan enjoyed playing outside in her little tent. Luckily it didn't rain the night they camped out, so the kids slept really good. Scott cooked pancakes and sausages for breakfast the next morning. I heard that Ben ate 2 sausages (really big patties) and also had pancakes. Megan said she had pancakes, marsh mellows, and sprite for breakfast. Only a kid would think that was a great breakfast.
This is the final weekend of the summer. Next week Scott returns to work and the kids go back to school. Time flies when you are having fun.
