Megan, for whatever reason, put a blue crayon into her nose today. When she pulled it out, the tip remained in her nose. I heard her crying and asked what had happened. I tried to see the crayon, but since I couldn't I didn't want to use tweezers. I couldn't find Blake's nose syringe, so that was out of the question. I decided to try to have her blow it out, but she was pulling it further in with each breath. We tried to have her sneeze it out by putting red pepper into her nostril, but that only produced a minor sneeze. I finally closed her empty nostril and covered her mouth and told her to blow hard, and out popped the crayon. It was the full tip. Once the crayon was out she was more concerned with the burning of the red pepper. I poured water up her nose to wash the red pepper away. I told her not to put crayons up her nose, and Megan said maybe just the big ones since they are so much bigger they wouldn't break off. I said no crayons at all.
