Relief

Today was our ward's primary program. Our final practice was yesterday, but as usual I had school. Our primary's second councilor offered to lead the kids in the practice. I found out when I got to church that it wasn't the best practice. I also found out that I would be leading the congregation in singing 'Dearest Children' while waiting for the kids to walk in as a group. Not too bad- but I would rather lead smiling kid faces then flat faced adults. I am just glad that it is over, and we were really, really good. I listened to the next ward's program for awhile, and we sounded much, much better. I am an awesome music leader- j/k. The stake presidency came up after it was over and said that we sounded great and they didn't know how our kids sing so much louder (I interpreted it to mean better) then primaries that are bigger. We have a few weeks of down time before next years songs start so we will have fun learning more reverent songs and a few of my favorites. The best part of picking the songs is that I only pick the songs that I like- haha.

Last night I went out with my friends from school. We had a hard time choosing where we would be going, but we decided to go to Oregano's. I didn't try the pizza- it was to vegetable filled for my taste (tomatoes, spinach, mushrooms, olives... What is wrong with pepperoni?). I did love the guacamole dip with bread, and the pazokie (pizza cookie with ice cream). I will have to take Scott back to try those- but too bad he is not a guacamole fan. Anyone want to come??

Madison had her school program this week and of course she did great. Sorry for the one picture (bottom right red shirt). I took about 10 photos but our camera doesn't work in gymnasiums for some reason. Madison also had her hair/make up class for gym this week. I learned how to do an easy updo making a flower. I did it again this morning and it only took 6 minutes. Not bad.

Have I mentioned how brilliant Blake is, and Marita thinks so too so maybe I am not biased. Blake knows all of his colors and is constantly pointing out blues, pinks, reds on everything. He will only wear his dark blue bib now and prefers the pink plate and green cup. He is starting to speak in 2-3 word sentences. His favorite is "big truck" and "baby Blake". He also has a new favorite word "share", and he usually yells it to Ben.

You are the Greatest Primary Music director! The Kids were good because of all you've done for them!

The primary program went so well. You really did a great job with the kids. I loved the songs that the kids learned this year...it was hard to not want to sing along. :)
