More Car Issues

I started a new job last week. It is with a home health agency that specializes in wound care and patient education. I think it will be a good fit for me and my crowded schedule. It is only 10 hours a week, but it feels like 50! I am not sure how some people can handle a full time job, because I feel like I am already falling behind.

When I came out of work on Thursday I noticed that my front passenger was missing. After checking for broken glass and not finding anything missing, I felt my window in the door. Sometime during my 4 hours of training the window collapsed into the door frame. This window hasn't worked for 4 years, but we never wanted to pay the money to have it repaired. Now that the window was 'missing' it needed to be fixed. Since my driver side window is also broken I thought I could get each one fixed. The mechanic called on Friday and said that each window would cost $350. With that number, we said only fix the passenger window so it will at least roll back up. A few hours later my car was done and I was a few hundred dollars poorer. Not having a working driver side window is a pain since I will have to go inside at the bank and at fast food places. Better yet, I will just drive through backwards!!

My driver side window doesn't work either, I try to pawn off errands to the others!
