We got to the wave pool just after 1:30pm and they had a big sign saying that Moms would swim free this weekend! Yea, just saved $6.00 (kids are cheaper $3.00)! The girls and I drop Ben off at his party and find a table for our things. We look out to the wave pool and notice that everyone has an inner-tube. Asked about it, and it turns out you can't go past the 3 foot mark without an inner-tube. Rented 3 tubes- it is a good that I saved $6.00 at the front desk because I paid another $15.00 to rent our tubes.
Madison quickly went into the waves and headed for the deeper end. Megan and I stayed in the more shallow end getting beat up by the waves and the tubes that floated in with them. I was able to notice a few things:
1- Man in speedo- why is there always at least one at all public pools? Plus, this is an indoor pool so he wasn't wearing it to work on his tan.
2- Had the fortunate experience of seeing a lady fall out of her bikini top. When that happens I think that is a clue that you need a suit with more coverage.
3- The tubes are not very comfortable to hang on to for hours at a time. Haven't had the opportunity to have a mammogram yet, but I think I have a great idea of what it could feel like.
4- The deeper in the water we were the less the waves crashed into us, more like a constant rocking that I was able to enjoy hours later after I went home.
The kids had a great time, very glad I left Blake at home with Scott- he would not have enjoyed it. The kids want to go back soon, not sure if that will happen. Next time Scott can go.
