This morning regular church was canceled and in its place we were able to watch the Gila Valley Temple Dedication. Ben and I went to the 9am session. We were able to see the sealing of the cornerstone. It was interesting to see that President Monson has a quick sense of humor. I think the whole time he was outside he was making one funny comment after the other. Before the dedication there was a video showing different temple pictures-inside and out. Ben and I were able to talk about the various pictures and what they were for. Madison and Scott attended the 12 o'clock session.
After the sessions Emily and Dale invited us to have a picnic with them at Desert Mountain Park. Luckily, the high temperature for the day was only 80 degrees and a little breezy so it was perfect picnic weather. A great day to eat peanut butter and jelly outside.
