Halloween falls on Sunday this year, so Friday was the day for school Halloween parties. From 2-3 the kids were allowed to quickly change into their costumes and have a quick party. Megan's grade did a parade around the school showing off their costumes then had a quick (but sugar filled) party, Ben's class just had a food buffet and some games, Madison's class made donuts and played games. Madison loved playing the candy bar game, she especially loved that she went home with the much desired bag of gumballs prize.
This year Madison was a clown, Ben a skeleton, Megan was Dorothy, and Blake was Darth Vader.
After school we got ready for our ward trunk or treat. The kids and Scott had made some cardboard cutouts of grave markers and spiders with which to decorate our trunk. It was a small turnout this year for the trunk or treat. Within an hour of starting, everyone was leaving. For that hour though, the kids had fun in the haunted house, bounce house, a few games, and trunk or treating. This year we handed out mini play dough's- BIG hit, everyone loved them. We handed them all out during the trunk or treat (I think I saw some kids 4 or 5 times).
