This week has been a little rough on Macy. We moved from her little rocker into the crib, went to a consistent nap/bedtime schedule, and having been working on falling asleep without being held. The hardest part has been sleeping in the crib with all the room to move around (no more swaddling the blanket either). Macy struggled with long stretches of crib sleeping until she learned that sleeping on her stomach is pretty nice. This has helped her really sleep much better. Macy has also moved into her high chair while we eat at the table. She still hasn't started eating food- but will taste my smoothie and seems to like it.
Macy also loves putting her foot into her mouth and sucking on her toes. Madison and Megan said that she will be a future gymnast with that flexibility.
Crib story- When Tiffany moved to South Carolina she left her crib at my house so a friend could borrow it. My friend never borrowed it since we had Macy and would need the crib. Scott went to set up the crib a few weeks ago and I went looking on the internet for fix for the drop side rail (to make it stationary). Turns out that this particular crib was recalled in 2008 (the crib was bought in 2004). I called the recall hotline the next day and was told that the crib was still eligible for the recall, I just needed to send in all the nuts and bolts of the old crib. I mailed the hardware back on a Wednesday, and by Tuesday morning I had a brand new crib at my door. Love the new crib!
