For Meredith

I read your letter on Lyric's blog-- come on, my 52 weeks of Macy are almost up. I would like to remember what happens when, so that is why I started doing a weekly update. Almost done though, thank goodness.

I am a thinker, not a music listener, so this morning when I was thinking about my life I was feeling a little "mouse-ish".

You know, the mouse from the book series- If you give... I told Scott that this afternoon and he just gave me a weird look. In the book the mouse is easily distracted throughout the day as he does what needs to get done. My life as an example:

If Amy takes a shower, she will remember that she needs to wash towels. When she washes the towels, she will see that she needs another box of shout color catchers (love them). She then heads to the computer to look for the coupon for shout. While on the computer she will read some of her favorite blogs and deal finding sites. While looking at pinterest she will find a really great project that she needs to try. Then she will go look through her craft bins to see if she has all the supplies. Before she gets to the craft bins she will walk through the kitchen and see that it needs to be cleaned so she will clean it. She might get carried away and clean up the whole downstairs. When she is done she will need a little snack so she will reach into the freezer and grab a granola bite. While getting into the freezer she sees a few empty bags and will remember she needs to make more bread. When she gets out the ingredients for the bread she will notice she will first have to grind more wheat. But, she can't grind wheat while Macy is taking a nap (the machine sounds like an airplane). Remembering that Macy is taking a nap makes her feel tired as well so she goes and sits on the couch. Sitting on the couch will remind her that she has to fold laundry. While getting the laundry she will remember she needs more shout, and thinking of the shout she will remember she never did look for the coupon. So, she will get back on the computer. And chances are if she gets back on the computer, she will find more projects to work on.

Someday's I feel like the mouse: busy, but not accomplishing anything. (Hoped you liked the post Meredith).
