Last night we got to my parents house around 10pm. It wasn't too bad, since it was only 7pm Arizona time, and the kids had all taken naps. But since I had been up since 330am, without a nap, I was a little tired. With all the company in town, my parents house was busy until midnight. We were supposed to be sleeping in the computer room, but I could not get comfortable on the airmat, so I went out and slept on the couch. Today (Friday) was another early morning since we had family pictures at 830am. That meant we were up and quickly getting ready at 545am. Amazingly, everyone (22 people) was ready on time. My Mom found the photographer on CraigsList, and it looked like she was pretty good. I hope a few turn out okay. After pictures Jennifer, MaryEllen, and I went and got pedicures. Ellen and I picked the same purple, Jennifer went green to match Karl's wedding colors. After that we hurried home to change and head for the Columbia, SC temple which is about 1 hour away.
The wedding was perfect, tons of family and a few friends. Afterward we took pictures outside. It was great to be able to enjoy standing around in 90 degree weather, with high humidity. Right after we took family photos, the sky opened and began dumping rain on us. That helped to cool the temperature off. Plus I could say I was wet from the rain, and not sweat. The rest of Karl and Onna's pictures were under the temple porch and outside using an umbrella.
After pictures we went to a early dinner at Fat's. Only in the south would people dare to name a restaurant that. We had some great food and enjoyed watching the rain from the windows.
