Saturday turned out to be another early morning. When you are sleeping on the couch, you tend to wake up with the first person. That allowed me to help clean up and get breakfast ready.
After breakfast a few of us ran to Belk (Similar to Dillards), then Ben and I- along with Grandma, Meredith, and Scott G.- went to see Harry Potter. Great movie, not as great as the book, but a great movie. The movie got out at 3pm and we hurried home to change for Karl's reception. We left my Mom's house at 4pm to get our pictures taken before the reception started. I am sure glad that we hurried, otherwise we might have missed our one picture, and the opportunity to sit for an hour before the reception started.
Karl had a great reception- great food, great family/friends, great music. After awhile of sitting I decided to relieve MaryEllen of her helping duties. I thought I would be preparing the food downstairs, or making sure napkins,etc.. were put out. Nope, actually I got to go outside and make snow cones. Who has snow cones at a wedding reception?? I guess my brother does. Luckily I only had to crush ice and make about 30. You can imagine how quickly making snow cones in 90 degree plus humidity weather is like.
After the reception we helped to load presents and leftover food in the cars before heading back to my Mom's to play games. I joined Jennifer and MaryEllen and played Settler's. A great game- I can say that because I won.
