Day 6

Finally a day to relax!! We spent the morning hanging around my Mom's house. The girls, my Mom, and I tie-dyed some T-shirts. It was fun to tie up the shirts all differently to see how the pattern would turn out. The girls had a great time, Ben didn't want anything to do with that. Maybe he thinks it is a little on the girly side, but my brother does wear tie-dye and Scott said he would... After Blake woke up from his nap we went to the movie G-Force. My Mom choose to stay home- I consider her the lucky one. That movie was HORRIBLE. The kids thought it was okay, but to me the 90 minutes felt more like 1000. Finally it ended and we went back to my Mom's for a quick dinner before going bowling. This was Madison and Ben's first attempt at bowling without the help of ball drops and side cushions. Madison scored a 28 and Ben 25. You forget how heavy the ball seems to kids until you watch them try to hold it with just their fingers. Megan and Blake used the ball drop and did pretty good. I did worry a bit each time I saw Megan holding the ball with both arms and her back arched. I could just see the potential of having a ball drop on her feet, but it never happened. After bowling the kids wanted to try air hockey, Foosball, and pool. When they started attempting pool, and I ended up getting hit in the head a few times with their sticks it was time to go. We will save that lesson for another day (or never).
