I Hate My Van

Ok, maybe hate is the wrong word. I just HATE the cost of fixing this van. It seems that every summer we have to put in tons of $$$ to keep it running. This year is no different. A few weeks back I noticed that the radio and air conditioner wouldn't start right away when I started the car. They would come on after about 3-5 seconds. No biggie, I ignored it. Then they would turn off randomly as I was driving- again only for a few seconds. However, it started to bug me since the air will turn off and it is 110 degrees outside. So we took it to BigO to see if they can fix it. "Nothing wrong with the car" they said. Bull- it can't be normal to have the radio and air just turn off. Then we went on vacation. Now that we are back the air will stall for 20-30 seconds at a time. So I took it to Fletchers yesterday. I called at 230pm: "What is wrong with my car?" I asked. "Can't find anything" they replied. Called at 3:00pm: "What is wrong with my car?" I asked again. "The ignition is bad. Come pick it up and we will fix it tomorrow". When Scott drove it home the car started having problems with the steering and brakes. We took the car in this morning and Fletchers called us at noon and said, "We know something is wrong with the car, but we don't know what it is."

Translation: You need to go spend tons of money at the dealership to get your car running again.

So I called a Dodge dealer and to schedule an appointment and the secretary asked, "What day would you like to empty your savings account?" No, I am kidding about that, but that is what it will feel like. Anyone want to make a donation for a worthy cause??

You and me both! I feel your pain. I had to have my van towed out of my garage today! It's going to cost us around..... $1800 just to get the side door to shut again! What the heck? And to fix everything that is wrong we are looking at around $2,300!!!! I'm accepting donations as well. Hope to see you at BUNKO this month. I'm sure it will make us feel much better.

I hear your pain, I can't afford to get my front windows fixed, at least they are closed!
